A value treasured for decades
Before distributing the awards, Nasser noted that excellence has always been “a core value” for the company’s long-termplans for growth and value creation, going back eight decades to the contributions of Max Steineke and Khamis Ibn Rimthan, who were instrumental in bringing about the Kingdom’s first commercial oil discovery.
“Those early values instilled by our pioneers have firmly stood the test of time, and generations of Aramcons have proudly carried on the legacy of excellence,” said Nasser. “Our history has prepared us well for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
Nasser said the organizations recognized this year are representative of the commitment that is needed to meet our goal of becoming the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals company.
“As we continue to evolve, our company will look different in the future than it does today, but what is clear to me is that we have the people to make this happen,” he said.
“As such achievements do not happen in isolation, let me also extend my appreciation to all of the employees, teams, and contractors who played an important role in the success being honored today.”
The awards recognize overall performance in the respective categories through clearly-defined, and measurable, criteria— for both operating facilities, and service organizations to reflect the company’s vast diversity of operations.
S-Oil earned three awards in the Joint Venture category, while ‘Uthmaniyah Gas Plant, Northern Area Industrial Security Operations, and Yanbu’ NGL Fractionation were awarded two apiece in other categories. Both Abqaiq Plants and the Abqaiq Plants Maintenance Department picked up awards.
