  • Aramco SVP of Digital and Information Technology meets with CIE President on the sidelines of the World Robot Conference

On the sidelines of the 2026 World Robot Conference, Sami A. Al-Ajmi, Aramco Senior Vice President of Digital and Information Technology, met with Xu Xiaolan, President of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as Zhao Yunfeng, Vice President and Secretary-General of CIE, alongside the Aramco delegation.

The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on strategic cooperation opportunities in frontier technology fields. Topics covered advanced electronics, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, industrial digitalization, smart manufacturing, robotics and other emerging technologies, aiming to explore broad collaboration potential between Aramco and Chinese industry partners.

Aramco continues to advance technological innovation and industrial integration. This high-level dialogue established a vital communication platform for strengthening collaboration and unlocking new opportunities at the intersection of energy, technology and innovation. 

During the visit, the Aramco delegation toured the exhibition to learn about cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions in the robotics sector. 

The 2026 World Robot Conference was held under the theme "Human-Robot Symbiosis, Production-Demand Convergence" from August 19 to 23 in Beijing, standing as one of the most influential global events for the robotics industry. Over 370 exhibitors from around the world showcased 3,000 innovative products, with 311 being global debuts.
