Aramco China strengthens ties with partners at Beijing year-end reception

In his opening remarks, Senior Vice President Ahmed Al Khunaini reflected on the company’s achievements and its enduring relationship with China.

Aramco Asia President Saleh Al Zaid highlighted the company’s growing footprint in China since the establishment of the Asia headquarters in Beijing more than a decade ago.

Aramco China reaffirmed its dedication to long-term collaboration and sustainable growth and showed deep appreciation to customers and partners for their continued support at its annual year-end reception in Beijing in December. 

The event, attended by over 300 guests, marked a milestone in the company’s growing engagement with China. Participants included customers, joint venture partners, suppliers, government officials, academics, media representatives and stakeholders from the banking sector.

In his opening remarks, Ahmed Al Khunaini Senior Vice President of the Sales & Supply Planning organization reflected on the company’s achievements and its enduring relationship with Chinese partners. 

“We are proud to be one of China’s leading seaborne crude suppliers, with over 20% of Aramco’s crude exports directed to this market. That translates to around 300 annual deliveries by Very Large Crude Carriers. Additionally, we rank among the largest liquefied petroleum gas suppliers to China,” Al Khunaini said. 

He also underlined Aramco’s commitment to energy security and sustainability, “Looking ahead, our collaboration will further deepen. In 2026, we will begin the marketing and sales of Jafurah condensate, a milestone that builds on the success of Arabian Super Light, which we introduced to global markets.” 

Saleh Al Zaid, Aramco Asia President highlighted the company’s growing footprint in China since the establishment of the Asia headquarters in Beijing more than a decade ago.

He noted, “Working closely with our Chinese partners, we are well positioned to seize new opportunities and drive greater value for all stakeholders. Our customers continue to recognize the quality of our crude supply, the efficiency of our logistics, and the excellence of our marketing services. These strengths are built on a foundation of trust, transparency, and long-standing collaboration.”

The reception provided an interactive platform to deepen relationships with Chinese stakeholders. From global expertise to local partnerships, Aramco aims to support China’s energy transition and economic growth, creating shared value and driving progress across energy, innovation and sustainability.
