During the event, Ababtain met with Fujian Provincial Governor Su Shulin and extended his sincere thanks to the Fujian government for its support of Saudi Aramco over the years. Earlier the same day, Ababtain and Alkhaldi attended a meeting with Xiamen Mayor Liu Keqing.

During the meeting with Liu, Ababtain expressed his appreciation to the Xiamen municipal government for inviting Aramco Asia to the CIFIT and for their hospitality. He also introduced Aramco Asia’s rapid business developments in Fujian Province over the past several years.

Working with Sinopec, ExxonMobil and the Fujian provincial government, Saudi Aramco forged China’s first integrated refining, petrochemicals manufacturing and marketing project in 2007 in Fujian Province. Also, Aramco Asia in Xiamen made its first direct chemical sales in China in January this year and is working to expand its distribution to a wider region.
